Motherboards and CPUs may damage some Skylake coolers Scythe

Some socket 1151-compatible CPU coolers Scythe can cause damage to physical shock to the system board and processor. The company undertakes to provide free replacement screws that fix the problem to clients.

Scythe make the news known on its support page. The coolers suffering from the problem are the Ashura, 4 Mugen, Mugen-4 PCGH Edition, Fuma Ninja 4, Grand Kama Cross 3 Mugen Max and Kotetsu. All of these coolers using the Hyper Precision System Mounting of the company. If the coolers are used on other platforms, there is nothing to worry about.

The problem would come from another positioneringvan anchorages on Skylake motherboards. This would come to be too much pressure on the CPU and the motherboard. Every customer who Scythe contact record manufacturer would get a replacement set of screws without any extra costs to be charged. From Wednesday the replacement screws are sent.
