Mozilla complains that Edge default browser after upgrading Windows 10




Mozilla has voiced his frustration about Microsoft with the update to Windows 10 the default setting for the browser changes to its own browser Edge. Mozilla CEO Chris Beard finds that “the choice of users will be taken away.”

Mozilla CEO writes about his concerns in an open letter to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. In it he says that Mozilla and Microsoft have deliberated on the issue. Beard is aware that the establishment of a standard browser after the upgrade, it just may be adjusted again, but calls this process more difficult and less obvious than in earlier versions of Windows. Beard: “It now takes twice as many clicks, scrolling back through content and technical knowledge before users the same choice they have made in earlier versions of Windows, make again.”

Edge His argument is that “there are millions of users who like Windows, but whose preferences are ignored” and “because of the unnecessary complexity that they have to endure when their preference is different from the preference of Microsoft. Mozilla CEO claims to be disappointed about the “considerable deterioration” of the situation.

During the setup of Windows 10 is to modify the default browser. Users should not choose ‘express settings’ and then click on the screen with standard programs on the link “Let me choose my default apps.

It is not the first time that Microsoft’s policy regarding browser choice leads to dissatisfaction. This is because the Commission found that Microsoft could otherwise easily amass a large browser market share and maintain.
