According to Mozilla, other test versions of the browsers millions of users a day, but the number of active users of the version for the Modern interface in Windows 8 never rose above a thousand out. Firefox for Windows 8 would be released Tuesday.
Mozilla was already working on the “Firefox Metro’ variant, since the end of 2012, but a public test version came out just last month. Mozilla remains support the dekstop version for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. Apps with the Modern interface come in managed Microsoft Windows Store.
