Mozilla: Update to fate of Firefox add-ons in 2017




Firefox article logo Mozilla has once again expressed the fate of the add-ons and / or the emergence of the WebExtensions in its browser Firefox. WebExtensions are designed to replace obsolete techniques such as XUL (XML User Interface Language) and XPCOM (Cross Platform Component Object Model). In the end, Mozilla’s migration is expected to accelerate the approval of new extensions. In addition, one wants to make so that everything for E10s ( Electrolysis is fit). Firefox is split into several processes: one for the interface and more for eg plugins, multimedia content, etc. Google Chrome works already in this way. In 2017 Mozilla wants to focus on the WebExtensions.
