MSI denies takeover rumor gaming laptop division by Lenovo




MSI has a rumor that talks to Lenovo on its gaming laptop division vigorously denied. The company is threatening legal action against the source. Last week the rumor that Lenovo was interested in MSI’s gametak.

MSI logo new small “MSI is not in talks with Lenovo to sell the MSI Gaming Notebook Division,” said MSI’s Andy Tung president at PC World. The CEO says that the company reserves the right to take legal action against the source of the rumor.

That source is Digitimes that last Friday the message published based on his contacts in Taiwan’s tech industry. Lenovo would like to conclude with an acquisition to gain market share rapidly in the market for gaming laptops and so include the competition with Dell Alienware.

Lenovo took over IBM before the German Medion and the ThinkPad line from left to gain market share. It seems to have Chinese business surveys at least affected by the shrinking PC market, partly due to an aggressive pricing strategy.
