MSI introduces gamelaptop with 17.3 “- ‘leverage’ with narrow screen edges

MSI has announced the GF75 8RD and GF75 8RC. These laptops for gaming purposes have a 17.3 “screen with narrow edges and the screen lifts the laptop slightly when opened, which would give a finer angle to the typing keyboard.

It is the first time MSI has such a drop-down hinge for a 17.3 “laptop used. For smaller laptops the manufacturer uses such a lever screen more often and other manufacturers do that too. The screen of the GF75 has an ips panel with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and thanks to the narrow edges the screen-to-body ratio is 88 percent. The dimensions of the laptop are 397 by 260 mm with a thickness of 22 mm on the thinnest and 23.1 mm on the thickest point. The weight is 2.2 kilograms.

MSI comes with two basic configurations. The GF75 8RD has a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Max-Q with 4GB gddr5, while the 8RC gets a GTX 1050 with 4GB gddr5. In both cases, a core i7 hexacore of Intel’s eighth Core generation is the processor and there is a maximum of 32GB ddr4. To cool the hardware, MSI uses two fans with four heatpipes, which blow the heat out of the laptop on four sides.

The backlight of the keyboard only shows red, and the screen cover and the surface around the keyboard are made of aluminum alloy. Neither laptop has Thunderbolt 3 or usb 3.1 Gen 2: there is a usb 3.1 Gen 1 port of the c and a-type. In addition, the laptops have hdmi and a gigabit ethernet port. The prices are not yet known.
