MSI launches touchscreen laptop with AMD quad-Kabini
MSI has announced two new touchscreen laptops. With the S12 and S12T the manufacturer focuses on the lower end of the market. The T version of the laptop has a 11.6 “touch screen, both are Kabini with AMD dual cores or quad cores supplied.
The S12T laptop has a 11.6 “screen with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and support for touch with ten fingers simultaneously. S12 should do it with a regular screen without touch support. MSI provides laptops with AMD A4-5000 quad-core with Radeon HD 8330 graphics or E1-2100 dual core with an HD 8210 GPU.
The laptops also get standard 4GB DDR3, that increase is up to 8GB. Also, a hard disk with a storage capacity of 500GB, standard but optional MSI builds an mSATA SSD 128GB in. Furthermore, the models have HDMI, one USB 3.0 port, a USB 2.0 interface, an old VGA port and an Ethernet connection. There is also support for WiFi n and Bluetooth 4.0.
It is not known what the battery life is, but the S12 and S12T are equipped with a battery driecellige. In combination with this, the laptop weighs 1.3 pounds and the thickness is 22.5 mm at the thinnest point. When the laptop computers in the Netherlands are on the market, is not known, and neither is the price, even though it can be said on the basis of the MSI data that focuses on the lower end of the market.
