NASA: Voyager 1 has left solar

NASA has confirmed that the Voyager 1 probe has left the solar system. There were earlier reports but NASA has new measurements confirmed that the spacecraft had entered at least. August last year all the interstellar space Voyager 1 is according to the measurements at about 18.8 billion kilometers from Earth. The probe was launched in 1977 and is moving at a speed of 17km / s on. In 2004 the unit reached the edge of our solar system.

For the calculations, the NASA scientists followed a plasma cloud, the sun banished in March 2012. The cloud reached Voyager 1 in April and the researchers were able to observe this because the plasma layer was thicker at that time in that place. From there they were able to determine the distance. Upon further investigation revealed that the same thickening in August 2012, was also visible after previous plasma cloud emissions.
