Almost three quarters of Dutch teenagers, Snap Chat and Instagram on the phone. That research has Telecompaper quantified. Teens install apps much more Dutch than previous generations.

Instagram The number of teenagers from the panel of Telecompaper with Instagram rose from 42 to 74 percent, while the number of 12-19 year olds with Snap Chat rose from 33 to 71 percent, writes the research. Thus both come close to Facebook. Telecompaper has no statistics released this year, but last year was around 76 percent of young people that app on the phone.

In older generations install far fewer people Snap Chat. Panelists at between 20 and 29 years, the number of installations at 28 percent among people between 50 and 64 years is 2 percent. Instagram has a higher popularity: 27 percent of the thirties is that app on the smartphone.

The figures show only a picture on systems of social media apps, but how many apps are actually in use, therefore remains unclear. Telecompaper obtained the figures through a continuous panel containing ten thousand people, which brings together in a quarterly English Apps Market report. Because it makes money by selling such reports, the research firm publishes not all relevant figures.
