Neil Young announces audiophile music player with triangular prism shape
Musician Neil Young has announced his PonoMusic platform with PonoPlayer. This week starts the Kickstarter collection and are adopted for the player who would offer better audio quality than regular music players. Pre-orders
The PonoPlayer with distinctive triangular prism shape includes 128GB of storage capacity and will cost $ 399. The player comes in several colors available, has three simple controls and an LCD touch screen feature. At the top are two audio interfaces and there is a USB port on the bottom, and there is also support for memory cards. In developing PonoMusic has worked with the U.S. manufacturer of audio technology Ayre and the player would include the ESS ES9018 contain-dac. As of March 15 pre-orders are accepted.
The player is combined with a desktop application and online store in “high resolution” will offer music. About the size, however, is little known. Neil Young has long been critical of the quality of the MP3 format and working since 2012 on a private standard that should offer better quality.
Initially, the press release that was talked Computer Audiophile published about 1000 to 2000 albums that would fit on 128GB later this was changed to 100 to 500.
