Netgear Announces Nighthawk router with 4G functionality

Netgear has announced a version of its Nighthawk AC1900 which boasts 4G functionality. The router supports LTE Category 6, for a theoretical maximum speed of 300Mbit / s.

Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 R7100LG can automatically fall back to the 4G connection is lost if the fixed connection. The manufacturer therefore mainly sees applications for business-critical devices such as security cameras and cash registers and places where no permanent connection is available.

In addition to the support for LTE Category 6 is support for dual band Wi-Fi, with theoretical maximum speeds of 600 + 1300Mbit / s at 2.4GHz and 5GHz. The Nighthawk has three detachable antennas. The SIM card can be inserted into a slot at the rear. The processor is an unnamed dual core at 1GHz.

Prices Netgear calls himself not only to retailers, the router for prices of about 357 to 382 euros.
