Netherlands and Belgium were re-record queries to Google
Netherlands and Belgium have again submitted a record number of data requests to Google in the second half of 2015. Other governments make extensive use of this possibility, according to Google, the total number of requests higher than ever.
From Google’s transparency report reveals that the Netherlands has submitted 210 requests between July and December 2015, compared with 162 in the first half of that year. Thereby yielded about two-thirds of the requests actually data. The Belgian government made 268 requests, as opposed to 243 in the previous period. This yielded 72 percent of these retrievals result. In previous years, the total number requests lower.
The list of withdrawals is led by the US, with 12,523 requests. Followed by Germany, France and the UK, with numbers between 2500 and 7500. India closes the top five with 3265 requests. According to Google is the worldwide number of requests thus amounts to 40 677, compared with slightly more than 30.00 in the same period in the previous year. This involved data from approximately 80,000 users.
The report shows the request again investigators, who come from Google and its subsidiary YouTube. The company evaluates own words each request and determines whether it complies with legal requirements and policies of Google.
