Netherlands wins first soccer e-interland

Netherlands wins first soccer e-interland that has ever been played
Netherlands has won the very first e-interland ever played from England. The Dutch e-sportsman Ali Riza Aygün won 2-1 of his English competitor Shaun Springette in two halves of six minutes in football game Fifa 18.

The match may be the first e-interland, as both football federations had delegated the e-athlete. Aygün is e-sportsman at PSV and was at the top of the e-division this winter. That is why the KNVB football association chose him.

Unlike in the e-division, both e-athletes played with the selection that the coaches also have at their disposal for the analogue version of the international Friday night, reports . Because the selection of England normally has a higher rating than the Dutch national team, both unions decided to put the players on the same level. This meant that the skills of the e-sportsmen had to be decisive in the competition.

The e-athletes made use of Fifa 18, the latest version of the game. It is unknown whether there will be any international tournaments such as ECs and WCs in the future, as is customary in analogue football
