New crowdsourcing application WeatherSignal uses the barometer iPhone 6

London startup OpenSignal uses crowdsourcing data from sensors devices your users to create a weather map or mobile networks in real time. Today in the App Store came out a new application of the company, which became one of the first to use the unique capabilities of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

The company has improved its mobile solution, which is based on data received from the sensors mobile users, creates a map of the current forecast specifically for the new smartphone from Apple.

Appendix WeatherSignal already failed to win enough popularity on the platform Android. Since the launch of the application in May last year, it was downloaded 270,000 times. With the new flagship smartphone iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, equipped with an atmospheric pressure sensor, OpenSignal decided to use “apple” devices for crowdsourcing meteorology.

This does not mean that the application does not work on older models iPhone – on devices of the previous generation WeatherSignal displays a map of the weather, but will not be able to share data with other users about the weather conditions at the location of their owners, said CEO Brendan Gill.

Another popular application is the British, OpenSignal , allows us to estimate the real picture of the network coverage of mobile operators.
