New images of suspected Nexus 5 appear online

There are pictures surfaced of what is probably a new Nexus smartphone from Google and LG. The photos show a smartphone with very narrow bezels on the side and a strikingly large ring around the camera lens.

The photos are put online by the FCC approval authority, but probably by accident, because they are associated with documents on a U.S. version of the LG G2, as reports Android Police. The photos show a smartphone, codenamed LG D820, and name that was brought earlier in connection with a new smartphone that LG and Google is probably the Nexus 5 will be called. The phone is probably based on LG’s recently announced G2 smartphone.

The version in the pictures is probably not finished yet. Thus, the removable back and there are no Google Nexus or logos on the present case. From the pictures it can be seen that the device has a 2300mAh battery, considerably less than the 3000mAh battery in the G2 smartphone from LG. The buttons are on the side, and not on the back side, such as the G2. The lens looks on first glance very big, but it’s only a ring that is going to the actual lens. The camera sensor seems slightly larger than the Nexus 4.

Should the upcoming Nexus is based on the G2 it would mean that he has under the hood a 800 quad-core Snapdragon Qualcomm soc. The screen would then have 5.2 “and a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Diagonal is expected that the new Nexus come out in October or November, along with version 4.4 of Android, which is codenamed KitKat inherited.
