New pictures of BlackBerry device with Android appear online – update




There are Saturday again pictures appeared online a new BlackBerry device that runs on Android. It’s the slider codenamed Venice, whose existence has long been known.

The images appeared on the Vietnamese site Techrum and are in line with previous images of the device. It can be seen that the top of Venice does not have a power button, but inputs for a SIM card and a micro SD card. In addition, it seems that the slider has Android Lollipop.

There have been going longer stories around the Canadian BlackBerry is working on its first devices with Android, including a variant of the Passport, which is called provisionally Oslo. Earlier this month came from slides revealed that the Venice probably have a camera with a maximum resolution of eighteen megapixels. The back also appears to resemble that of the Z30 from 2013.

The latest Android handset of BlackBerry probably has a Snapdragon 808-soc Qualcomm onboard. Further speaking rumors of a 5.4 “screen with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. When the Canadian manufacturer will announce the unit is still unclear.

The phone runs reportedly on an Android version that develops BlackBerry itself, as was deduced from the way it looks close. Additionally BlackBerry Safeguard is visible, something that normally does not appear in the main menu. Finally, the phone has probably default to Google’s Chrome Cast.
