New Windows 10 Insider brings extensions to build Edge




Microsoft has released a preview of Windows 10 that lets users already can get a look at extensions for the Edge browser. The build includes three expansion modules that can sideload Windows Insiders.

It comes to Windows 10 ‘Redstone’ build 14291, which is distributed by Microsoft among participants in the Fast Ring Insider program. According to the company stood expansion modules from the beginning of the Edge project on the roadmap, so the possibilities of to expand the browser, just as it can in many other browsers.

One of the extensions is Microsoft Translator, which web pages can convert into more than fifty languages. In addition, there is Mouse Gestures for coupling of mouse movements to the browser actions. Finally, the Reddit Enhancement Suite is available with additional functionality for Reddit. Earlier this week, Microsoft released extensions already accidentally released, and showed that they compatible were those of Chrome. Microsoft announced that extensions for AdBlock, Adblock Plus, Amazon, LastPass and Evernote are in the pipeline.

The final distribution for all Windows 10 users will probably follow in the summer, as Redstone expansion is released. Microsoft initially wanted support for extensions already cast the end of 2015, but the company was forced to postpone the functionality.

Other new features in Redstone build 14291 These include the ability to pin tabs Edge, expansions and a new interface for Maps and an updated alarm and clock app.
