Nice Weather: the clearest weather application for Android

Before you start talking about the next (well, as you can?) Weather application for Android, want to immediately convincingly assure you: this is one of the most beautiful, minimalist, intuitive and user-friendly designs that we’ve seen.

So, Nice Weather – just after the start determines the location of the user by displaying a city / country at the top of the screen (the language also changes automatically, but Russian, unfortunately, is not). You may want to tapnut on location and add another point manually.

Background here is just a general state of the weather outside. Blue – rainy, gray tones from light to dark – an indicator of the degree of sadness, ranging from a light cloud cover and ending of totality stormy cloud. Yellow – sun on the street.

Schematically, the weather is displayed as an icon on the screen. Followed by the date and the 3 basic weather parameters, wind, temperature and precipitation. At the bottom of the screen is the temperature curve showing the minimum and maximum temperature in the displayed time period and shaded area gives an idea about the level of rainfall in the same time slot.

When you first look at all this beauty there is some frustration due to the fact that the picture seems to be static. In fact, here the full interactivity. The circle on the curve of temperature – is a slider that allows you to see the dynamics of changes in the weather for the near future (step shear = 3:00). Together with the movement of the slider varies smoothly and the background and icon of weather and Figures basic parameters corresponding to the selected hour. Swipe left or right moves the user to the screen with the weather on the previous / next day (up to 5 days in advance). Tap to any of three parameters opens menues with one of its display format (Celsius / Fahrenheit for temperature and so on).

The only thing hvatatet Nice Weather – version display weather reports for several days ahead in one screen. However, the addition of at least one interface is clearly clickable element with a high probability would spoil the overall impression of the design of the application.

Nice Weather is available in Google Play and absolutely free of charge.
