Nintendo patents show sleep monitor with built-in projector




There are Nintendo patent applications of the found indicating that the online business to reflect on the development of a device that monitors the user’s sleep, for example, by measuring heart rate and temperature. At the same time there are projected images.

The deliberate patent applications have been found by a user of the forum NeoGAF and uploaded to the World Intellectual Property Organization. In any of the patent describes a system in which according to Nintendo the emotional state of a person is measured, for example, by the use of a microphone for sounds and a camera for images. This system should take stock of how the user feels. A second patent describes a system with sensors, so that for example the heart rate and the temperature of a person can be measured.

Nintendo’s sleep sensor seems to consist of a docking station in which a smartphone can be placed. Furthermore this docking station has a projector which images can be projected on the ceiling. Among others it is possible for the system-calculated ‘sleep score, a measure of how good the sleep indicator.

Although patent applications do not always lead to actually make the products proposed, it is likely that Nintendo is indeed working on a sleep sensor. The company showed namely already know to want to bring such a product, although it gave few details about his plans. It is part of Nintendo’s ‘quality of life’ project, but it is still unclear when a sleeping meter on the market could come.
