Nintendo refuted reports about production stop Wii
Contrary to reports in the Japanese business newspaper Nikkei, Nintendo does not end this year with the production of the Wii U. The console maker debunked the rumor itself in a reaction opposite also Japanese ITmedia.
Nintendo stressed that the message of Nikkei is no official announcement, saying it is not true that the production of the Wii U still stops this year. Tuesday night Dutch time spent Nikkei article out stating that Nintendo this summer will stop building the console. The report was adopted by many domestic and foreign media on the assumption that the production stop could be associated with the introduction of the Nintendo NX, which have long been rumors about it.
Despite that Nintendo does not stop with making the Wii U, it is not unlikely that Nintendo NX short term is coming. It is expected that the manufacturer brings out during the E3 game exhibition in June more information about the device, which few concrete details are known. According to the latest rumors, the NX is a hybrid device that can serve as handheld and as ‘fixed’ console.
Console manufacturers remain often produce the old model after the introduction of a new model. would thus be very early production stop of the Wii in 2016. Between 2012 and December 2015, Nintendo has 12.6 million copies of Wii U sold. That is much less than the Wii consoles of the last generation, which has sold over 100 million copies since 2006.Viewing:-196
