If the plans materialize, it is not the first time that Nintendo is involved in a film. In 1993, Super Mario Bros. released from a film that completely flopped. Then the Japanese company decided against new plans. However, in recent years, Nintendo did what careful steps. In 2012 it gave permission to Bowser, the bad guys from many Mario games, make up stairs in the movie Wreck-It Ralph. Earlier this year, Donkey Kong in the film Pixels.
