Nintendo: virtual reality is not yet ready for mainstream market

Virtual reality is not ready for the mainstream market, and especially not ready for people who want to play a long time with it. That says Reggie Fils-Aimé director of the American branch of Nintendo in a video interview with financial news agency Bloomberg.

Fils-Aimé speaks in the interview , as of 32:06, about how the upcoming Nintendo NX console fits into the gaming market. He does not or will support the upcoming NX virtual reality, but says that the current VR applications “are not yet ready for the general public.” Virtual reality is’ not there long, “he says. “Especially for consumers to play a long time, instead of the little snacks of entertainment where it is about.”

He gives no further details about the NX, but says that Nintendo does not focus on the speed of the hardware. “It is not for us teraflops,” said the head of Nintendo in the United States. Microsoft stressed this week with the announcement of Project Scorpio this upcoming console is four times as powerful as the current Xbox One and One S .

The NX comes in March next year. It is unknown when the Japanese company will tell you more about the new console. What is known is that the new Zelda game Breath of the Wild true for both the current Wii U as the new NX.
