NL-ix breaks border 1Tbit / s of data transfer




The Internet Exchange NL-ix has broken Monday for the first time the border of 1Tbit / s of traffic. This puts the growth of the exchange, which operates alongside counts the AMS-IX and 513 affiliated parties further.

Passing the 1Tbit / s limit was Monday by NL-ix reported on Twitter. Around half past ten in the evening was 1,02Tbit / s of data processed, a new record for the Dutch internet exchange. The new record following the passing of the 500Gbit / s-boundary in February 2014. Two months ago the boundary of 900Gbit / s was broken.

The AMS-IX is at position two, after the Internet exchange in Frankfurt. It processes nearly 4Tbit / s of traffic, while AMS-IX in March this year the border of 3,5Tbit / s is broken.
