Nokia and ComScore combine their efforts to develop

an advanced MIMO amplifier antenna
Both ComScore and Nokia have stepped up efforts to develop a multi-input Massive MIMO antenna to enable network intensification, support the growth of mobile data traffic, and move towards fifth-generation networks.

The two-part Maimo antenna is a dual-band combo-based antenna that supports FDD-LTE networks, integrated with two Nokia AirScale radio stations.

The amplified MIMO antenna transmits and receives 16 16T16R waveforms in two bands simultaneously. This integrated antenna thus contributes to increased signal capacity, downlink and improved coverage for advanced 4G networks, which may be described as the 4.9 generation.

“The fifth-generation track includes the development of current 4G networks through network intensification, virtualization and performance tuning to reach an enhanced mobile broadband user experience,” said Ben Cardwell, Senior Vice President, ComScore Mobile Systems. The new Maimo antenna amplifies the synergies that combine Nokia ‘s experience in ComScoop’ s radio and advanced antenna technology.

Answer #1

It is known that antenna technology is currently being developed with the majority of networks to support the 4-by-4 MIMO feature of transmitted and received data. The MIMO amplifier is a leap and a quantum leap in which more antenna elements are used to support MIMO multi-user patterns, Employing 8 or 16 wavelength channels, greatly increasing network capacity and capacity.

The MIMO amplifier is essential for increasing the efficiency of wireless data transmission, which is reflected positively in network capacity, expansion of coverage and access to 4G LTE performance.

The new Maimo antenna solution is scheduled to be available in mid-2018 for the commercial use offered by ComScore at the 2018 World Mobile Congress .
