Nokia brings offline navigation of Here Maps for iPhones




Nokia has its app for offline navigation, Lord Maps, released for iOS. The app allows users to download maps beforehand and so abroad navigate without roaming charges. The release follows a few months after the Android version of the app.

With the release of iOS Nokia now offers the first free offline navigation for the three major mobile platforms, Android, iOS and Windows Phone. The app is since Wednesday in the App Store. Users can store maps of entire countries on the internal memory of the iPhone to navigate offline later.

Lord appeared and offline navigation under the name Nokia Drive and Drive + and later Lord Drive on Windows Phones, but released in December Nokia – the part of the business that remained after Microsoft telefoontak bought – an app from Android. In the fall it appeared all exclusive to Samsung devices.
