NPO forfeit fine of 25,000 euros for offense cookie decision




NPO has forfeited a penalty of 25,000 euros because the organization breaches of the cookie law has not stopped in time. These were sites where the NPO was responsible and that too long visitors kept track without being clear on this.

NPO had ACM’s on 18 August his policies have changed so that visitors were informed properly about placing tracking cookies, under the burden of a fine of 25,000 euros per week. On August 27, met some sites of public service broadcasters, such as 3FM, Radio 4 and not yet Funx the cookie law: they put still javascript for Adsense and DoubleClick without the visitors well informed about this.

On September 4, the ACM noted that those sites were no violations more. The forfeited penalty therefore remains at 25,000 euros. NPO stated that it was not clear that the cookie policy of other sites and then should be adjusted. However, the sites of 3FM, Radio 4 and Funx fall under the direct responsibility of the NPO.
