The number of households with wired internet which has a speed of 100Mbit / s or more, for the first time passed the one million mark. If fiber is included, now has one in five households in the Netherlands on at least a 100Mbit / s connection.
The number of broadband connections increased by 196,000 to 1.1 million completed cable at a speed of 100Mbit / s or higher increased in the fourth quarter of 2015. This is evident from the Telecom Monitor of the ACM. The increase is striking, because in the previous quarter still showed a decrease of 5,000 connections at that speed. For all other speeds on the cable, there was a decrease in the number of connections. The total number of cable connections rose from 3.25 million to 3.27 million.
