Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 seems to have variants

with 3GB, 4GB and 6GB
Gigabyte has registered trade names for 40 different RTX 2060 video cards. It can be deduced from this that variants with 3GB, 4GB and 6GB vram come. It also seems that versions with gddr6 as well as versions come with gddr5 or gddr5x.

Gigabyte has registered the names of the video cards with the Eurasian Economic Commission and that was noticed by Twitter user Komachi . The code names show that RTX 2060 versions come with 3GB, 4GB and 6GB. From the GTX 1060, Nvidia released versions with 3GB and 6GB, with the number of cudacores also being different. This may also be the case with the new RTX 2060 variants.

If a 4GB variant comes, Nvidia must adjust the width of the memory bus. As with the RTX 2070, it could be a 256-bit memory bus, or a much slower 128bit bus. A smaller bus could be compensated by using fast memory. The 6GB and 3GB versions get a 192bit memory bus because of their configuration.

The list contains variants with GD and GC designation. The former indicates the presence of gddr6 memory, while GC stands for gddr5 or gddr5x. With Gigabyte’s records, both the 3GB, 4GB and 6GB versions are GD and GC variants. So it seems that Nvidia comes with six configurations of the RTX 2060.

Presumably, Nvidia is presenting its GeForce RTX 2060 video card at the CES electronics fair early next year. The manufacturer will hold a press conference there on 6 January. It is expected that RTX video cards for laptops will be announced.

At the beginning of December , an image was already leaked from a Gigabyte RTX 2060 video card. According to VideoCardz, this 1920 gets cudacores. The previously released RTX 2070, 2080 and 2080 Ti have 2304, 2944 and 4352 cudacores respectively.
