According to figures put Nvidia, and Anandtech has published , the decline in memory usage as the GTX 970 over 3,5GB used slightly higher than the GTX 980, but the difference is small. So is the frame rate according to Nvidia in Battlefield 4, with higher settings allowing both video cards sit at the limit of 4GB, 50 percent at the GTX 970 and 47 percent in the GTX 980. “As you can see, there is little difference in the performance of the GTX 970 if you compare it with the 980, “the company said.

The vram of 970 is divided into segments and 3,5GB 0,5GB. The 970 uses the latter 0,5GB only when necessary because it hinders performance.
