Nvidia launches GTX 980 Ti and Gsync for laptops
Nvidia has announced at the Computex trade show in Taipei, the GeForce GTX 980 Ti graphics card. The new card features the same GPU as the Titan X, but with two disabled sm units. Additionally, Nvidia Gsync introduced for laptops.
The Ti GTX 980 has, just like on the top card Titan X GM200-GPU, which is based on the Maxwell-architecture. In contrast to the Titan X 980, the Ti does not have 3072, but 2816 CUDA-cores and the memory is not twelve but six gigabytes in size. The clock speeds of GPU and memory do agree; tap the GPU standard 1000MHz and a boost clock of 1075MHz. The GDDR5 memory has an effective speed of 7010MHz and communicates via a 384bit wide bus.
Tweakers, the new graphics card already can benchmark and it shows that the 980 Ti roughly 30 percent faster than the GTX 980. The GTX 980 Ti gets announced a retail price of 750 euros and Nvidia that the price of the GTX 980 drops from $ 549 to $ 499, representing converted and 550 euros including VAT.Viewing:-137
