Nvidia provides Quadro card for workstations GP100 GPU and 16GB hbm2
NVIDIA Announces Quadro GP100 to. The graphics card has full GP100 GPU and 16GB hbm2 memory, like the Tesla Accelerator P100. In contrast to the PCIe-variant for servers, the new Quadro-card can also be used for graphic applications.

The new Quadro GP100 is performed as a regular video card with its own fan and four DisplayPort 1.4 outputs to monitors to connect. There is also a DVI-D port. These connections make the card suitable for use in workstations and graphics. The map is implemented as a dual-slot model, and according to Nvidia consumes a maximum of 235 watts. Along with the GP100 Quadro card Nvidia introduces NVLink connector that allows two of the PCIe cards can be linked.

The video card is full GP100 GPU that Nvidia in April last year announced . Initially, the GPU was only available in the form of the P100-Tesla accelerator used in Nvidia’s own DGX-1 supercomputer and later available came as a PCIe card for servers. It was the first chip based on the new architecture Pascal and then would follow smaller variants include the GeForce GTX 10 video cards. On what clock speed the GP100 GPU running Nvidia does not disclose the Quadro card.

Last year brought Nvidia Quadro though the P6000 card that is based on the Pascal architecture. However, which made use of the GP102-GPU, as well as the Titan X-video card. Also typically used the P6000 gddr5x memory, rather hbm2.

When it comes to FP32 calculations is the P6000 with 12tflops the better card, the GP100 GPU has 10,3tflops. The P6000 is optimized for double-precision calculations fp64 and can only run on 1/32 th of the speed. In GP100 GPU is 1/2 e, for a total of 5,2tflops.

Along with the GP100 Nvidia Quadro announced a lineup of new models based on Pascal GPUs, which are positioned below the existing P6000. It is about the P4000, P2000 and P1000, which are based respectively on the GP104- GP106- and GP107 GPU and equipped with GDDR5 memory. Finally, there are the Quadro P600 and P400, which like the P1000 have a GP107 GPU, but are equipped with less memory. Prices of the new Quadro cards Nvidia has not been disclosed.
