Oculus brings Touch controllers months Rift glasses off

The touch controllers developed for the Oculus Rift VR goggles, come only in the second half of 2016, while the seat itself appears in the first quarter. Oculus has decided to postpone to have more time to perfect the controllers.

Oculus gets the controllers for the Rift glasses are not ready on time and begin delivery until the second half of 2016. The company claims to have major changes in terms of ergonomics and implement changes regarding comfort, reliability and recognition to affix the position of hands.

Oculus also wants to send more pre-production units to developers, who can and their virtual reality applications can adapt it firmly set to work. The delay affects the Rift glasses do not: it remains on the agenda to appear in the first quarter of 2016.

Oculus unveiled the Touch controllers in June. The controllers for two hands have tracking technology, vibration motors for haptic feedback, thumb joysticks, two buttons and a trigger with the index finger.
