Oculus provides sdk 1.0 and release version of Rift glasses to developers

Oculus begins this week with the delivery to developers of the Rift SDK 1.0 and the version of the VR goggles as this is also available to consumers. The SDK and hardware are intended primarily for developers working on apps that are ready to appear.

Facebook subsidiary Oculus focuses the announcement in particular developers who are planning to release a rift title in the first quarter of 2016. The delivery of the SDK 1.0 and the final hardware is also in preparation for the final release of the virtual reality glasses, also sometime in the first quarter of 2016.

“We supply every week Rift hardware out as the launch nears. Meanwhile, the combination of DK2 and sdk 0.8 remains the right platform for early Rift development, you only have sdk 1.0 need when you are about your app from to bring, “writes Oculus.

Oculus launched the final consumer version of its Rift seat last summer. The company also unveiled as a dedicated controller for the virtual reality device. Until now, developers had to use the Development Kit 2 when working on applications for the platform.
