On the Lists! Futuremark removed devices with striking results from 3DMark leaderboards
Samsung Galaxy S4 was to my knowledge the first mobile device which benchmark by alleged cheating came into the news . But not only the Samsung Galaxy S4 came into the media, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 also . In addition to Samsung, devices from HTC and other manufacturers came into the line of fire, so we do not want to leave them out here. As one of the first benchmark manufacturer AnTuTu went after striking equipment , now Futuremark 3DMark grips with its similar measures.
There, it says quite clearly that you have clear rules and the goal of being able to publish unbiased results. Benchmarks must be carried out as normal from the device, without detections and special adaptations. If a device does not fit into the rules or come up with striking results around the corner, so it will be delisted and is no longer performed in the corresponding Benchmark List. The device additionally get to the donkey mask and be branded at the end of the list . Affected are currently devices from HTC, but also from Samsung.
