OnePlus 6T has a starting price of 559 euros – update

OnePlus has presented its latest smartphone 6T. Compared to its predecessor, the screen is larger, the battery has more capacity and the fingerprint scanner is behind the screen instead of behind the device.

The 6T has a slightly longer screen than the 6, namely 147.2mm instead of 144.2mm. The screen width is about the same, making the diagonal from 6.28 “to 6.41”. OnePlus has placed a screen in the device with a smaller notch in the shape of a drop.

This is again an OLED screen. Behind the screen is the fingerprint scanner, almost at the bottom of the surface of the display. The housing of the smartphone is also a bit longer and comes out at 157.5×74.8mm.

The housing is somewhat thicker, but users also get a battery with higher capacity in return. That is now 3700mAh instead of 3300mAh as in the OnePlus 6 and earlier phones of the Chinese manufacturer. The 6T has, as OnePlus announced last month, no more 3.5mm jack. There are extra speaker grills on that spot, although there is no extra speaker.

Many components are the same with respect to the OnePlus 6, including the soc and the cameras. The use of materials is also the same, with glass on both sides and a metal edge. However, OnePlus has deleted the 64GB version, making the 6T available only in 128GB and 256GB variants. The 6T appears in Belgium for 549 euros for the 128GB version with 6GB ram and 579 for the version with 8GB RAM; the 256GB version, with 8GB ram, costs 579 euros. In the Netherlands he costs ten euros more. Tweakers publishes a review of the OnePlus 6T on Monday.

Update, 17:38 : OnePlus uses different prices for the Netherlands and Belgium. The article has been adjusted accordingly.
