OnePlus One and two receive early 2016 update to Android 6.0




OnePlus announces that its first two smartphones in early 2016 will be upgraded to Android Marshmallow. The OnePlus One gets a new version of Cyanogen OS, while the second one OxygenOS OnePlus version of Android 6.0 is made.

Smartphone manufacturer OnePlus the update plans announced on its forum. The company wants to mention any specific dates, but says the OnePlus One in the first quarter of 2016 will receive the update. It will go to CM13, a new version of Cyanogen OS, the operating system where the first smartphone from OnePlus came along.

The OnePlus 2 gets an update to Android 6.0 in the first quarter of 2016. In this case, it is a new version of OxygenOS. This update will also include the new api for the fingerprint scanner. For OnePlus One is a community build of OxygenOS available, “once there is time for ‘these are upgraded to Marshmallow.

OnePlus is not yet known when its latest handset, the OnePlus X gets an update for Marshmallow. The manufacturer says to work hard to do that as quickly as possible. The handset comes with a version of OxygenOS which is based on Android 5.1. It brings OnePlus regular updates and promises to continue to do so.
