OnePlus One has half a million smartphones sold

OnePlus has so far half a million copies sold of his One smartphone. A co-founder said in an interview. As such, the sales are dwarfed by those of the great Chinese smartphone manufacturers.

OnePlus wants another half a million copies in the next two months OnePlus One sales, according to an interview with one of the co-founders on the site of Forbes. OnePlus sells One only since this summer.

OnePlus sells his One devices via an invite system, where customers need a code to be able to purchase the device. The controversial system was just released last week so everyone could place, pre-orders, but if the invite system finally goes overboard, is still unknown.

The manufacturer currently produces only the 64GB version of the smartphone, says the co-founder in the interview. Or the 16GB version, which costs a few bucks less, still goes into production in the future is unknown. The 64GB version costs 299 euros in the Netherlands.

OnePlus sells the One with a margin of up to ten dollars, says the co-founder; that is converted up to around 7.50 euros. There would be more profitable to sit at the accessories. Moreover OnePlus wants to make more profit in the future.

With half a million copies in about five months of falling sales OnePlus still dwarfed by those of other Chinese manufacturers as Xiaomi, Lenovo, Coolpad, ZTE and Huawei, which have each sold many units in that period at least twenty times.
