Onion Browser for iOS: The aluminum hat under the Apps
The Onion browser is not new, in view of the entire NSA, tenses and PRISM stories but more current than ever. The app uses the Tor network to hide connections to websites. The advantage is that you can not be identified from websites is accompanied by the disadvantage of longer loading times. This setting is automatic, you can use the browser so as everyone else.
The connection is encrypted before it leaves the iDevice, so it is not possible to simply intercept the data that way. In the settings can be adjusted even more concerning the spoof security, but usually the default settings should already provide sufficient protection.
The browser itself shows pages as you would expect from the iOS Safari browser. These can also be bookmarked. Add to Bookmarks are lots of useful links to various TOR-/Onion-Seiten, an import from existing bookmarks from another browser is not possible.
So who is actually dependent on the mobile obfuscation while surfing the Internet, the Onion could have found the right app browser. As a general alternative to Safari or Chrome browser, you can look but probably not. Not enough features to long loading times. After all, the app is not expensive at 89 cents.
