Open Whisper Systems has released a public beta of the desktop client of Signal. The secure IM service is therefore to be used for a large number of users now also available as Chrome app on desktops.

Open Whisper Systems, the test version of the desktop client for everybody available to accept made ​​after months only users by invitation. The desktop client is a Chrome app that users can synchronize their mobile version of Signal, by scanning the QR code with their smartphone. For now, the client can only be paired with the Android app, support for the iOS app will follow.
