Opera introduces all you can eat-appwinkels for provider

Opera is a new app store model to roll. The company offers mobile operators the ability to create their own appwinkel which users can subscribe. Who receive a weekly fee access to all paid apps.

Opera describes the concept as an all you can eat model. Smartphone or tablet users pay a weekly unnamed amount of providers and in return they get access to all the paid apps that are in the respective store. In total, there are more than 300,000 apps in Opera Mobile Store. It involves, among other apps like Minecraft and Angry Birds Star Wars II.

The company claims to have developed the service to also allow mobile operators to benefit from the profitable application market. Five mobile carriers operating in three continents were going to work with the service. It is unclear about which companies it goes.

Users get on first use a week of free access to the premium service. After that week can be selected for a subscription or the contract may be rescinded. It is unclear what the subscription price will be and whether mobile providers all charge the same price.
