Organization behind Vera Crypt audit suspect emails are intercepted
Ostif, the organization that organizes the audit of Vera Crypt encryption software, suspect emails are intercepted on the audit. The messages do not arrive and are not reflected in the ‘sent messages’ folder.
Vera Crypt fpa Ostif writes that with QuarksLab, the party will carry out the audit, and the lead developer of Vera Crypt has set up an e-mail exchange based on PGP. The parties assume that this is due to interference by third parties. Therefore they should now move to a different way to exchange encrypted messages. Ostif does not address the manner in which it is released at the conclusion that the missing messages are the result of interception.
August 1 was Ostif known that there would be an audit of the source code of Vera Crypt. The funds are provided by search engine DuckDuckGo and VPN services VikingVPN. It is intended that the results of the research will be presented in mid-September by QuarksLab. The company has agreed to found leaking first to share with the developers of Vera Crypt, so that they can come up with a solution.
