OWC launches USB c dock with eleven connectors
OWC has announced a docking station that connects via a single USB cable, and then C can serve both as food. The docking station extends such as laptops via a single cable with eleven other connections including Ethernet and HDMI.
The OWC USB-C Dock provides in a 80W power supply, so that a separate power supply via USB-c is no longer necessary. In addition, the dock extends the connections of a device with two USB-A connectors with power supply capability, two regular USB-A interfaces and a reversible type-C variant. There are also a Gigabit Ethernet port, HDMI and an SD card slot, and two audio jacks. The accessory itself is connected using USB 1 c generation and thus offers a maximum bandwidth of 5Gbps / s.
OWC takes orders for the product for $ 129, converted 114 euros, but says only from delivering the autumn. The accessory shows what users can expect devices with USB c regarding expansion. OWC is not alone in announcing such a dock. Hydra Dock did before through Kickstarter and asking $ 169 for a comparable product.
