Pale Moon 24.3.0
Pale Moon 24.3.0
Pale Moon logo (75 pix) Version 24.3.0 of Pale Moon is released. The browser uses the source code of Mozilla Firefox, but is optimized for modern hardware. The Windows version of Mozilla Firefox is in fact designed to maximize compatibility in mind. Partly because of concessions to older hardware, the browser is not as fast as he could be, according Pale Moon creator Moonchild Productions.
Pale Moon is functionally almost identical to Mozilla Firefox, but does not support older processors. There are some things left out, including “Accessibility features’ and ‘Parental Controls’. The result is a browser that sometimes up to 25 percent would be better to perform . There is also a 64-bit version of the browser is available. More information about the program can here be found.
The download of Pale Moon is only in English, but using this language file and a small adjustment , the program can also be used in Dutch. The program uses its own profile folder, and does not share it with Firefox, making it possible for the two to be used side by side. The changelog for this release is as follows:
Changes and Bug Fixes:
New build: Atom-optimized Pale Moon
After some thorough testing, the Atom / netbook builds are being released as final. These builds are Specifically made for PCs with Intel Atom processors. More information can be found on the Atom builds page.
New feature: the title has leg Brought back to the title bar
When using the Application Menu (Pale Moon button), the title bar of the browser window would be blank. Considering this is wasted space, the page title will now be displayed in the title bar again (it’s called a title bar for a reason, after all!). Several different styles have been Implemented to cater to different OS version layouts.
Removal of the Services tab in the Add-on Manager
It will be visible only if someone actually has a service extension installed (similar to how language packs work)
Improvement of UI consistency
Removal or illogical or selective hiding the navigation bar and toolbars when in tabs-on-top mode (Add-ons manager, manager permissions, etc.). Chrome browser will now never be hidden.
Bugfix: When using the classic window downloads, downloads in private windows were not shown
If you use the classic downloads window and would open a Private Browsing (PB) window, there was no easy way to see All which downloads were done in the PB window. When checking the downloads, it would open up the (non-PB) classic downloads window All which does not have downloads listed from the PB session. This has fixed leg, and PB windows will now open a new tab in the window with the OJ downloads from That private session.
Bugfix: Geolocation did not work in Pale Moon
This was Caused by the standard Firefox geolocation provider (Google Inc.). Now that demand an API key to request geolocation coordinates. Only official Mozilla Firefox builds willhave working geolocation from Google.
Pale Moon provider has switched to IP API.com to address this issue, with the re-write of code required for the different type of request. More information on the forum .
Bugfix: The “More information” link for blocked add-ons did not work
Bugfix: Certain scaled fonts wouldhave malformed characters
On Vista and later with hardware acceleration enabled, certain letters or some font families would become malformed and kettle to read Because of a Direct2D scaling issue. These fonts Should now render sharp and more legibly.
Romanian leg has added to the status bar localizations
