Panasonic will release four series of OLED TVs

this year
Panasonic has announced three new series of OLED TVs, after the top model, the GZW2004, was presented early this year. The new series are called GZT1506, GZW1004 and GZW954 and will be available in sizes 55 “and 65” from June.

According to Panasonic, all new OLED TVs include hdr10, hdr10 +, Dolby Vision, HLG and HLG Photo, just like the GZW2004 announced in January. The new models also receive the same HCX Pro Intelligent image processor and all have a 4k resolution. Furthermore, all new OLED TVs work together with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

The press release from Panasonic does not make clear what the differences between the new models are, but the difference seems to be in the speakers. All models have Dolby Atmos support, but the positioning of the speakers differs. Only the previously announced top model also has upward-directed loudspeakers.

The GZT1506 gets a so-called Blade Speaker, according to Panasonic that is a ‘powerful windshield-oriented loudspeaker’. The manufacturer gives no details about the loudspeakers of the other models in the Dutch press release.

Panasonic releases the GZT1506, GZW1004 and GZW954 in June. The GZW2004 top model will be published in July. All OLED TVs come in formats 55 “and 65”. The manufacturer has not yet published recommended prices.
