Patch Dying Light blocks inadvertently mods

A patch for the action game Dying Light has ensured that mods have stopped working. According to the developer is that a fix that cheating should hinder the mod functionality and comes back.

Opposite Eurogamer says Techland, the developer of Dying Light, that the blockade of mods thus was an unintended side effect that will be resolved quickly. “It was not the intention of creating obstacles for modders,” said Techland. “We have always supported the mod community.”

The fix made sure it was no longer possible to change game files. It was initially thought that it was a deliberate action. That a mod which the film grain layer that lies removes beyond the game, was taken offline because of copyright infringement, reinforced that suspicion.
