PayPal cease support apps for Windows Phone and BlackBerry

PayPal pull the plug out of its apps for Windows Phone, BlackBerry and Amazon Fire. From June 30 the apps that mobile platforms are no longer usable. It is still possible via the browser using PayPal Mobile.

PayPal says the stop support for all three platforms in order “to mobilize all resources to create the best experience.” Although the service is not said, referring PayPal is likely that the number of users of the app on Windows Phone, BlackBerry and Amazon Fire devices is low.

The payment service itself speaks about Windows Phone, but it’s the app that also works on Windows 10 Mobile. According to PayPal, it remains possible for BlackBerry users to send money to the BBM app for contacts.

Between 3 and 30 June should also iOS and Android users upgrade to the latest PayPal app, the company says. Version 6.0 works with Android 4:03 or later and iOS 8.1 or later. All platforms can also still be used after June 30 PayPal through the browser.
