A few days have passed since we reported here a message from Microsoft that it has over 100,000 volumes can confiscate that should be checked for validity now. What exactly had happened?
Online retailer PCFritz is accused of operating license fraud in a big way. The fake media are modeled backups that attaches to the computer manufacturer Dell computers running the operating system Microsoft Windows 7 pre-installed legally – many readers have come forward who have also received such a disk for narrow money.
Now PCFritz speaks up and accuses Microsoft slander before. “The products offered by us are exclusively original Microsoft products, the volumes are all equipped with a tamper-proof code Mould IFPI number. This is located in the inner ring of the disc. The authenticity certificates are sold exclusively through the Microsoft Online Services or enabled phone, “said managing director PCFritz Maik Mahlow.
He refers to the jurisprudence of the Supreme Court in its judgment of 06 July 2000 (reference number I ZR 244/97), whereby the resale of recovery CDs / DVDs was deemed legal. Fake disk, it should not be loud Mahlow, but original. Furthermore Mahlow announces: “The update released by Microsoft, slanderous and defamatory communication we can check by our lawyers and obtain an injunction against this claim.”
We’ll see what happens there’s so – the story seems to be far from over.
