PCH remained independent design, 2015 Skylake platform will not be the full import of SoC designs
Intel Motherboard News

2015 will be the debut of Broadwell processor, looks like it will not be integrated into the processor functionality among PCH.

2014 motherboard chipset is an Intel Z97, but the processors is the current Haswell Refresh, rather than 14nm in Broadwell, but VR-Zone in the hands of an information point, Intel identified in the 2015 release of Broadwell platform, code-named Skylake .

Was postponed to 2015 to appear Broadwell processor in many details still an enigmatic, but we have made a very interesting specification, the protagonist is Skylake platforms use PCH chip size and PCB specifications.

From the specification table below, you can see the Skylake PCH package after area and 8 series Lynx Point PCH similar size in the solder ball pitch and Pad size has reduced. But it revealed the current planning among the intel, Boradwell processor does not, as previously mentioned rumors would be SoC design, but traditional separation of design, which can not help but think it would not be in the development process difficulties caused forced to abandon SoC design?

Haswell-E will be introduced in late 2014 DDR4 memory, Broadwell whether to postpone introduction of memory related problems or 14nm process, or are there other market considerations, I am afraid only Intel’s own know.
