PEGI briefly showed info about CoD Modern Warfare 2

remaster of singleplayer
European organization PEGI, responsible for awarding age ratings to games, had for a short time a report on its site which contained information about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered.

The message quickly disappeared from the PEGI site, but several websites saved and published the listing. This shows that this is a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 remaster for the PlayStation 4, where it seems to be exclusively a single player campaign.

There is mention of a release date of 28 February, although that date has already expired. Furthermore, the system only mentions the PlayStation 4, but it seems unlikely that the remaster will only be available for Sony’s console.

A year ago there were already sources that indicated that there is a remaster of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 coming , where no multiplayer mode is present. Activision has not yet officially announced the polished version of the game. The listing removed by PEGI seems to be a new indication that the remaster is coming up.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 originally came out in 2009 and got very good reviews, which certainly applied to the single player camapgne. This contains an interesting story and spectacular action. There is, among other things, a controversial mission called ‘No Russian’, in which American-dressed terrorists are shooting around at a Russian airport. Tweakers gave the campaign a 9.5 at that time.
