PES 2016 Review – Glorious return for years of football game

The period from 2003 to 2006 in memory of PES fans such a legendary status which it is doubtful whether it will ever really equaled, but PES 2016 will in any case pretty close. The game feels smooth and fast as the classic PES games, and also the flaming shots are not lacking. This fact alone will many are already enough information to pick the game immediately. Furthermore, the game combines some good points with a some what weak points, some of which have been playing for years. These points, however, can not spoil the fun. PES 2016 is the game in which fans of the series have been waiting. And while there is still room for improvement. The icing on the cake is perhaps the EK 2016 license that has won Konami. As the players of the Dutch team with PES 2016 can perhaps reach the European Championships yet.

Deliciously smooth gameplay
Fast, logical menus
Good looking players
Weather effects
UEFA licenses

Missing licenses and competitions
Errors keepers
Presentation could still be better

It is September, the football season runs and so are the annual football games again for the door. In the past week was Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 on the shelves and in the coming week will rival FIFA 16 in stores. Tweakers played and plays both games extensively, of course, and this review is the first result. It will probably notice that the video review is lacking this time; The reason is that we do it this year on a slightly different way. Although we make two separate reviews, but make one video, in which both ‘footies’ are compared. We’re still just working on it, so that video comes in the course of the next week, as well as the review of FIFA 16.

AS Roma – Paris Saint-Germain in PES 2016

Tested on: PlayStation 4
Also available for: PC, Xbox One
Differing versions: Xbox 360, PlayStation 3

So we start with Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 by Konami. It is a special year for the part Japanese, part European developers behind PES. The franchise this year consists namely exactly twenty years and is celebrated with special editions of the football and with charming decor in the game. More importantly, PES 2016 FIFA series must finally really stabbing the crown. More than ever, Konami went into conclave with the community on how the game should be and even journalists were asked to fill out feedback forms after play sessions at E3. All this, of course, to take as many opinions as possible in the development process.
EK 2016 License

What we have seen already, is that the support from the financial department of Konami is getting better going. It is known that Electronic Arts a number of licenses, such as those of the Bundesliga and the Premier League, exclusive offers, and thus lacking in PES. Konami’s soccer has long been already provided with the UEFA license, which allows it to use the Champions League and Europa League, and this summer joined the publisher as the license for the European Championship 2016 in France to it. That is a sensitive point for EA, as it means that the makers of FIFA next year no game can issue around the European Championships, as was usual so far. Or Konami is going to do it, is not yet clear, but that the EC will play a role in PES is of course fixed.

No Bundesliga

Yet for many football fans remain a thorn in the eye that are missing licenses in a football game. You play against London FC or Man Blue, do you remember who oppose you, but the nepnamen of the smaller English clubs allow themselves to decipher all difficult. There are bound by the community-created data packets do they all go to straighten out, but not everyone takes the time to download it and to stop in his game. That said, all the missing items is actually doing just the absence of the Bundesliga pain. Not having one of the top three leagues in the world’s best to call amiss. Lovers of German clubs have to be satisfied with a handful of clubs participating in European tournaments, such as Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg, and that’s a pity.
